Fill 2023: The Body I Live In

(This is a past event and is no longer running)

Autobiographical Writing Workshop with Rossana Campo

The body I live in is a creative writing workshop in which everyone is invited to find inspiration to write in their own bodies and life experiences. Giving voice to the body can help us find our own truth and discover our unique superpower: in this brief but intensive class, Rossana Campo will guide you on a journey of self-discovery through the work of writers who have been able to create uniquely powerful stories from their own autobiography, such as Guadalupe Nettel, Clarice Lispector, Olivia Laing, and many others. Get ready to meet yourself on the inside and… write about it. You’ll just need a pen and a piece of paper.

The workshop will be in Italian and is open to any Italian speaker (level C1 suggested).

The maximum number of participants is 15.

Rossana Campo is an Italian writer who debuted in 1992 as one of the authors featured in Gianni Celati’s anthology I narratori delle riserve. In the same year, her debut novel In principio erano le mutande was published for the first time, becoming one of the most iconic long-sellers in contemporary Italian literature. During the course of her prolific career, her novels have been published in translation in France, Spain, United States, Poland and many other countries. In 2016 she was awarded the Strega Giovani prize and the Elsa Morante Prize for the memoir Dove troverete un altro padre come il mio.
