A family anxiously awaits their daughter’s return from Australia. Churchill’s play races through a series of scenarios, repetitions and experiments, using verbal gymnastics to veer in unexpected directions.

This adaptation, from acclaimed Italian theatre maker Lisa Ferlazzo Natoli and company lacasadargilla, blends movement and Churchill’s text to push the limits of language.

Presented in Italian with English subtitles.

Caryl Churchill
Caryl Churchill is one of the UK’s most influential playwrights, known for her breaking of theatrical tradition. Many of her plays are now considered modern classics, including Top Girls, Cloud Nine and A Number. Churchill’s work is enjoying unprecedented success in Italy. After many decades when her work was rarely performed, over the last year there have been several significant productions.
