Alongside the highly anticipated run of Neon Dance‘s Last and First Men, The Coronet Theatre is thrilled to present an exclusive free 90 minute workshop with dance artist Fukiko Takase.

Suitable for: Professional and semi-professional dance artists, dancers, full-time dance students aged 18 and above, and movement enthusiasts who are comfortable with improvisation.

Attire: Participants should be dressed in loose-fitting, comfortable attire that allows unrestricted movement and freedom of expression.

Please note, to participate in this free workshop, you will need to be a ticket-holder for any performance of Last and First Men.

 

Fukiko Takase
Fukiko Takase was born in New York and raised in Japan, trained by her mother Takako Takase and Katsuko Orita. She received the Cultural Affairs Fellowship from the Japanese government, and studied at Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy and London Contemporary Dance School. She has worked with Henri Oguike Dance Company, Company Wayne McGregor, and Akram Khan Company. Fukiko joined Neon Dance in 2021 and has performed in the works Prehension Blooms, Beyond Body and Things, and Last and First Men. Fukiko’s workshop will offer an insight into the collaborative process behind the production Last and First Men.
