Sweet Little Mystery: The Songs Of John Martyn

(This is a past event and is no longer running)

★★★★ ‘Martyn would surely have been impressed’ – The Times

★★★★ ‘An incandescent homage to John Martyn’ – Evening Standard

British soul, jazz and R&B singer Sarah Jane Morris, Tony Rémy and Tim Cansfield interpret singer and songwriter John Martyn’s canon of music live at The Coronet Theatre to pay homage to a musical maverick who influenced a generation of his peers, friends and fans alike. Directed by legendary comedian and activist Mark Thomas, this touching tribute shines a light on the sublime genius of John Martyn, a restless, often self-destructive artist whose unique voice and music are both breathtakingly bold and achingly tender in their beauty.

Sweet Little Mystery features unreleased footage of John Martyn as well as interviews with his family, friends and fellow musicians and marks the 10th anniversary of John’s untimely passing and celebrates the work of this musical visionary.
