Deaf and Hard of Hearing

We aim to make our performances as accessible as possible for D/deaf and hard of hearing audience members.

Induction loop system
The theatre is equipped with an induction loop system and uses Sennheiser “Tourguide” monitoring receivers for assistive listening. We have three sets of equipment available. If you would like to reserve a set for your visit, please email us in advance at access@thecoronettheatre.com

If you’re planning to borrow a receiver, please aim to arrive at least 45 minutes before the performance so our technical team can assist with setup and testing.

Surtitles
Many of our productions are performed in their original language as part of our international programme. When surtitles are required, they are displayed on screens or projected into the auditorium in real time alongside the spoken lines. The size and position of the surtitles may vary depending on the design of the production, but we always aim to ensure a clear view from all areas of the auditorium. Please contact the Box Office if you have any concerns about visibility.

If you require a particular seating location to better view surtitles, we recommend booking in advance. Our team will be happy to assist in selecting the most appropriate seats for your needs.

Service Animals
We welcome trained registered service animals at the Coronet Theatre. If you will be visiting with a service animal, please let us know in advance so we can book you an aisle seat for comfort. Alternatively, if you would prefer, our Box Office team is happy to look after your service animal in a quiet and safe area of the foyer during the performance.

Please note that while we are pleased to accommodate trained assistance dogs, emotional support animals are not permitted in the auditorium.
