T.H.E Dance Company:Searching Blue《寻蓝》- FAQs
Searching Blue《寻蓝》 is a unique site-responsive performance that begins inside The Coronet Theatre before unfolding outdoors in the surrounding neighbourhood. To help you make the most of your visit, we’ve answered some of the most common questions about the experience, including arrival times, accessibility, walking distances, weather, and what to expect on the day.
Where do I collect my ticket?
All tickets for the performances must be collected in person from The Coronet Theatre Box Office. Please note that your ticket will also be checked at the offsite venue.
Where does the performance take place?
The performance will begin at The Coronet Theatre before continuing outdoors in an offsite venue.
The first 40 minutes of the performance will take place in the Coronet Theatre’s main auditorium, there is then a promenade section and then will conclude outdoors.
Audience members will be guided between locations by the performers and venue staff.
How long is the performance?
Searching Blue《寻蓝》 is approximately 85 mins long. This includes a short walk between locations.
How much walking and/or standing is involved?
The performance includes a short guided walk of approximately 500 metres between locations, with the promenade section beginning approximately 40 minutes into the show.
We recommend wearing comfortable footwear and taking care throughout the experience. Audience members should expect to be standing during the outdoor sections of each performance.
If you are unable to stand for a long period of time, please get in touch with our Box Office via hello@thecoronettheatre.com.
Is there a cloakroom available?
Please note that the cloakroom is closed for this event. Customers should avoid bringing large bags or luggage, as they will need to move between locations during the performance.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at Coronet Theatre at least 30 minutes before the performance start time to allow for ticket collection and pre-show guidance.
Latecomers may not be admitted once the performance has begun.
Will the bar be open?
Our stalls bar will be open from 6:30pm as usual.
Please note that licensing restrictions do not allow alcohol to be taken outside the building.
The Coronet Theatre is a cashless venue and does not accept cash payments.
Will there be audience participation?
Audience members may be gently invited to engage with performers (for example, through hand-holding and movement), but participation is entirely optional and you are welcome to simply observe.
Will there be toilets available during the performance?
Toilets are available at The Coronet Theatre before the performances, as usual. Limited facilities will also be available during the outdoor sections. There is unlikely to be a break, audiences are encouraged to use the facilities at The Coronet Theatre beforehand to avoid missing any of the performance.
What happens if it rains?
The production is designed to take place outdoors and will go ahead in most weather conditions. The theatre will have some umbrellas should the traditional British summer weather take place!
In the unlikely event of extreme weather, performances may move to an indoor location.
Is filming and photography allowed?
While filming and photography are not permitted during the indoor section of the performance, you are welcome to take photos and videos during the outdoor section – and please do tag us @thecoronettheatre on social media.
How do I book an access ticket?
To book an access ticket, please contact access@thecoronettheatre.com.
We will do our best to accommodate any access requirements. Due to the nature of the site-responsive performance, we kindly ask that you get in touch by 28 June.
Please keep in mind that there is approximately a 12-minute walk between sites. The outdoor section includes uneven ground, grass, and some outdoor stairs, and may not be suitable for all mobility levels.
Will I get a refund if I can’t make it?
